Yoda will face Palpatine

Just an observation, everyone knows Yoda is kick ass with the saber but it seems to me Yoda is about to be taught one huge lesson in combat with Emperor Palpatine.

'Do not under estimate the powers of the Emperor or suffer your fathers fate you will'

Its obvious Yoda has a certain amount of fear for the Emperor, and everyone seems to think its Vader that scares Yoda off into the Dagobah swamps, but no, I think we will see Yoda square off againts Palpatine, and end up running for his life.

I think the idea of Vader going after Yoda would be quite absurd in EP3, think about it, Vaders a recently turned sith apprentice whose actually witnessed Yoda kick Dookus more mastery ass around and he's going to try and fend off the greatest Jedi Master in the galaxy?

No he'll leave that to Palpatine, Palpatine will make an example of Yoda, and all the fans will cry out in anger as Yoda runs for his life, or Obi Wan pulls him from the fight.

Another thing that will occur is the obvious death of Mace Windu, this will be by the hands of one Count Dooku, or maybe even Vader.

As far as Dooku is concerned he will be killed by Vader, and he will 'Take his place' at Palpatines side.

I like your reasoning and I agree with you. However, I think it's more likwly that Boba Fett will kill Windu.

Yoda refered to Anakin's past, not his own. Anakin underestimated Palpatines powers and was unable to turn from the path he had begun to climb. That's what Yoda meant. It was about to happen to Luke as well.

If Yoda faced off with Palpatine in battle one of them would end up dead, and I guess that would be Palpatine. Yoda was most likely more powerful and definitely more experienced. Since both survived I guess they didn't fight at all or more likely that Palpatine made damn sure Yoda never got close to him. I think Palpatine feared Yoda.

However, when Luke asks Yoda in ESB 'is the dark side stronger?', Yoda tells him it's not.

I always understood this sentence in the sense that Anakin wanted to 'conquer' the Emperor but that he, underestimating the Emperor's power, was instead lured to the Dark Side.

So would it make sense then that Yoda gets hurt by the Emperor and that Anakin, thinking that he's the greatest of all and that he can teach the Emperor a lesson, tries to intervene but instead loses and turns to the Dark Side?

It depends how long episode 3 is after episode 2. If it is less than 5 years apart I doubt a teen Boba would be able to kill Windu.

I also agree with the Yoda vs. Palpatine in Episode 3...

And I think Palpatine himself will kill Dooku and just hand the Sith Apprenticeship to Anakin/Vader....

It would be nice to see Sidious fighting some jedi. All he does is talk and point his wheathercontroldevice at Luke. Boring the dark side is!

My money's on Vader killing Windu.

I believe neither Yoda nor the Emperor wins the final battle... Which would be a victory for Palpatine... I believe the last fight is probably why yoda can't face Vader or the Emperor himself. I also believe that is why yoda does not live to be over 1000 years old.
