The Yoda scene was brilliant!!! Now we all know why Yoda is the JEDI MASTER!!!
It also needs to be remembered that Jedi's can only use the Force for a certain period of time and to certain strengths. This scene would have really put it out of Yoda, as he was struggling to lift the falling pillar from falling on Obi-Won and Anakin.
Yoda is also a far bit younger in this film, and therefore can monavre like this. I guess in the other films, Yoda hasn't got the strength to light saber and doesn't really need to either. Luke has to dual his father in order to over-come the dark side. It suggests that Luke is more powerful than Yoda, when towards the end of Epi 6 when Darth Vader is dying, Luke says 'I knew I could feel the good in you father - Yoda was wrong'. Yoda couldn't feel the good in Vader. In AOTC, Palaptine says to Anakin that he will be more powerful Jedi than Yoda and therefore Luke was going to be as well (but only when he had mastered the ways of the Force)

Yeah, the Yoda saber fight scene was awesome. Definitely the main thing that stayed in my mind when I left the theater. The movie was just 'good' until that point but when Yoda pulled out the saber and started flying all over the place and kicked some ass, it made the movie a great one. We all had been waiting 20 years to see Yoda rip shit up, well at least I had been waiting to see something like that from the master. I dont know however if Yoda being some 30 or so years younger would matter since isnt he like 800+ years old?

Yes, that's the main reason, but also because Yoda was too old. He was about to die after all. He didn't have a direct connection with the Emperor and Vader as Luke did. It had to be Luke, it was his destiny after all.
Luke said nothing of the sort, at least not in the movie. I seriously doubt Luke was more powerful than Yoda. The reason why Yoda couldn't sense what Luke sensed in Vader was simply that they were father and son. They had a natural bond and that's the reason Luke sensed something in Vader that Yoda, with all his powers, couldn't. Still, with that experience, of some 900 years, I doubt anyone could be as powerful as Yoda. He was the Master.

Or maybe Luke did not really sense anything at all. It was probably his emotions getting in the way

True - it was Luke's destiny.
Yup 900 years of Jedi experience, leaves everyone for dead.
