Today 'RTL Boulevard' was on tv (a gossip show). They had an issue called 'Worst Father ever to be on screen'. The three worst fathers were: Al Bundy, Darth Vader and someone I already forgot. Shame on you, Ani!

I dont think Vader was a bad father, he was never given a chance, that tramp wife of his ran away with his master, then he was denied his right to visitation, no wonder he killed Obi-wan!
Padme would have been able to bring Anakin back from the dark side if she had talked to him, confronted with her love and his children, Anakin would have told the emperor to take a hike, unless of course she can't cook, then all bets are off.

His last name is Skywalker. Of course he realizes that he's a father afterwards.
But he didn't raise Luke, he didn't know Luke was alive when he was growing up, and I doubt that he even found out that Padme was alive and gave birth to twins.

He didn't trick her. Cause if he did, he has to use the trick al the time, cos when he stops, Padme realises it, and their marriage will be over. And only few Jedi can trick people for like, what, three days?
