Will Anakin Turn BEFORE the armoured suit?

It seems that most people think Anakin will turn to Vader only after donning the mechanical suit. What if Anakin defeats Dooku (thanks to dark side powers) and joins Palpatine before he is deformed? that way Anakin would be Darth Vader in name alone and wreak havoc on unsuspecting Jedi. After Obi wan finds out, they would duel and Anakin would be disfigured, thus needing the suit. But i never understood how Obi wan disfigures anakin if he's so powerfull and all.shouldnt anakin be able to dispose of Obi wan pretty easily, especially after turning to the Dark side?

I think that the armor itself is symbolic of the change from Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader, thus I am suspecting that the change from Jedi to dark lord occurs at the same time he dons the armor. I'm not completely up-to-date with the novels and comics, but I believe that a fight occurs between Obi-wan and Anakin resulting with Obi-wan winning and destroying much of Anakin's body, thus the dark lord is born.

I dont see why the suit would turn him. It's just a suit after all. Why would Obi Wan fight him if he wasnt already evil?

First off, I never said the suit would turn him. I said that it would be a visual representation of his change from Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader. Did I stutter?

Secondly, unlike the cartoon world, Anakin doesn't go from being good guy Jedi to evil dark lord instantly. But what I do believe will happen is that the fight between Obi-wan and Anakin will be the final push that Anakin needs to make him become Darth Vader. The fight can occur out of confusion, frustration, or manipulation. Anakin doesn't have to have a deathwish for Obi-wan for the fight to turn into something serious.

I'm hoping that Anakin defeats Dooku and then takes his place as Sidious' tool of choice. He adopts the name Vader *before* he gets the suit, does a bit of dark side evilness while still thought to be a jedi, then has the showdown with Obi-Wan, gets severely injured, is thought dead, and the jedi don't immediately realise that the fella in the suit killing them off is/was Anakin until it's too late.

I think it would be better if Anakin turned evil before donning the suit. Otherwise it might imply that he lost his humanity only after he became 'more machine than man'
