Could it be that Obi-Wan is hard on Anakin because he's training him purely out of obligation? If Qui-Gon hadn't croaked out that stupid deathbed wish, Obi-Wan would not have trained Anakin. It seems like Obi-Wan doesn't even like him really, but has a lot of resentment. I've only seen AOTC once, so I'd have to see it again to pick up on the subtleties of their interactions.

I see a father/son relationship very much, but for living among the Jedi order, Anakin doesn't seem to have learned much discipline. I think it's funny that the council seem more convinced he will be a good jedi than Obi-Wan, who sees the danger even more now.

If you've read the 'Trail of the Jedi', a book from the Jedi Quest series, you'll see that that is almost *exactly* why Anakin and Obi-Wan do not get along. Pick it up in a book store and read the teaser on the back of the

In another galaxy, they become Sith warlords in black costumes. In our galaxy, they become disgruntled postal workers.
