Maybe I've read too much fan fiction and it's lead to my confusion, but I thought Qui-Gon was Yoda's Padawan Learner. However, in AOTC, Count Dooku says Qui-Gon was his PL. Do any of you know of an official reference to Yoda training Qui-Gon?

Yoda trains all the young padawans to some degree. Recall in AOTC how he was helping the youngest of them to learn how to use the lightsaber. Even Obi-wan tells us later in the OT that yoda trained him. But at some point in time, each padawan becomes assigned to a specific Jedi Knight and continues his training. It seems to reason that Dooku was assigned to Yoda like Obi-wan was assigned to Qui-Gon.

As old as he is, Yoda has probably had many padawan learners over the years...
