Imagine for a minute that the original trilogy weren't called IV/V/VI

Would you have preferred (one or the other) to have a trilogy of sequels or a trilogy of prequels?

Sequels to find out what happens after Luke becomes a fully fledged Jedi, the emperor is disposed of, and so on...

Or the prequels, to find out what happened before A New Hope

Of all the gin joints in all the world, Darkfalz walks into mine

Neither if i'm being entirely honest. The OT would have been just fine on their own.

With the Emperor and Vader dead, I think it would be scraping the story barrel to get three films after Ep6. Having some new villain turn up would be kind of crap. If this was a wish though, I'd wish they hadn't tied everything up in ROTJ and saved the Emperor showdown until Ep9.

Possibly, but they would be like Alien:Ressurection. It wasn't awful but it was pointless. Just continuing the story for the sake of making more movies.

Some of the books are really good.... but unless they recast the main parts, i think the actors are a bit too old.... unless they jump to 'The New Jedi Order' books, but that would be a bit confusing if you were expecting direct sequels..... mind you 10 years beween Episode 1 and 2 is a big jump as

Go ahead 'Bobby', make my day...

No. Few of them are worth reading even.

Nothing wrong with that. I have read almost all of the books after RotJ. I am about 5 and a half books from getting back to the New Jedi Order now, and would love to see more sequels so I can compare to what I have seen in my mind reading the books.

The whole 9 parts should have been made in order.
