what is the time period....

What's the time frame between Ep II and III? they have cast Hayden as Anakin.....Jake Lloyd was playing a 10 year old Anakin - Hayden plays a 16 YO?? How old was the queen in TPM??? How old in AOTC?? So Ep II takes place within 5-6 years of the events in TPM?

I also note the likeness of Carrier Fisher (as Leia) and Natalie Portman (as Amidala) casting people did a good job matching them.

* TPM is set 32 years before ANH. * AOTC is set 10 years later, 22 years before ANH. * Ep3 will be set 2 years after this, 20 years bfore ANH (roughly the time at which Luke and Leia were born, depending on which source you believe).

The Queen is 14 in TPM and Anakin is 9, therefore in AOTC she is 24 and he is 19, and in Ep3 she will be 26 and he will be 21.

AOTC takes place 10 years after TPM which makes Anakin 19 years old in this movie. He was 9 in the first movie (duh!). Amidala was supposed to be 14 years old which would make her 24 in AOTC.

I suppose there is a slight likeness between Carrie Fisher and Natalie Portman, but it must be said; Natalie Portman is much, much better looking. She's a darling. (btw, the actress who played Amidala's handmaiden and bodyguard Sabé (Keira Knightley) could be Natalie's clone.

I disagree. Carrie was a hottie in her day. But then again, she will always be a hottie to me. As is Ms. Portman. A very lovely woman, indeed.

I have to agree with Bill... although Natalie truly is a beatiful woman, there was somethin' about Carrie's eyes and smile in ROTJ... perhaps I'm biased 'cause I absolutely love dark hair, dark eyes, and a beaming smile, and the fact that my g/f has the same dark hair, dark eyes, and smile, but still... she was better overall than Natalie =)

Amidala is NO WAY only 14 in Episode I. I would have put her in the 17 - 19 age range. Then I saw the SW homing beacon...

Why did I think that Padmé was 18 in TPM??
