The reason why the SW movies have made lots of $$$

George Lucas greatest talent is his imagination. Everthing in the Star Wars movies originates from his imagination. The creatures, the characters, the story, the ships and the worlds. Lucas has a great imagination and it's for this reason his Star Wars are so successful.

So basically you're saying that a film's box office gross indicates how good the film is. Well, using this logic, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was a BETTER film than all of the previous Star Wars films, since worldwide it is the second-highest grossing film of all time. And it also means Titanic is much better.

People seem to miss the point about the SW movies. Sure some of the acting, script and special effects are crap but that's not what the SW movies are about. It's about using the mind. That's why so many people like it and why it's made lots of money.
