This has probably been asked before but what is the human planet of origin in the Star Wars galaxy? When playing Jedi Knight 2 I did a no clip to go outside of the Doomgiver(the ship level where its in hyperspace) to see how big the ship was. What I saw was Earth with a large explosion on it. Like it was showing the extinction of the dinosaurs or something. Kinda cool, check it out if you have the game.

Perhaps it is Ossus, the central planet of the Jedi Order of the Old Republic (about 5000-3996 BBY)

That planet is Yavin 4. Don't you follow the story of the game? Btw, when walking over the bridge of the ship, you see lots of glass screens with a planet on it. If you can read Aurebesh, you'll find that it's all about Yavin 4.

No, no, no. Yavin 4 was unhabited until Naga Sadow, the 2nd Dark Lord of the Sith came there with his Massassi warriors about 5000 years before ANH. You're still talking about the human planet of origin, right?

Once, I had a windows ttf called 'aurabesh'. Lost it. Someone know where I can get it? Btw, did you read the background pics of the Fighter's descriptions in 'Behind the Magic'? Quite funny, sound like advertising.

No, he was referring to the original post, about the planet visible outside the Doomgiver.

I think you've out-geeked yourself over a misunderstanding.

I don't think that has ever been defined, not even in the EU. My first guess wold be Corisant <sp?>. Humans seem to be the largest single race in the Republic, and Corisant is the simgle most heavy populated planet in the Republic. If humans were the first race to travel through Hyperspace. It would make sence that their population would expand very quickly as new worlds are colonized. Even if their head start was only a few 100 years, given exponetial growth their population could be huge. Then when the Republic is formed it would be logical to put it on the human homeworld.

Or it is posable that planet no longer exist, or is no longer habitable. Or it has simply been forgotten.

No, its not Yavin 4...its Earth. I just replayed the first Doomgiver level and saw it was Earth. Africa and some of Europe are clearly visable and on the left hand side of the planet it looks like a meteor or something is hitting the planet. When you first enter the Doomgiver after you talk to Luke, turn on noclip and go straight up past the hyperspace graphics and you'll see it. So please don't tell me I don't follow the story of the

It was a long long time ago... in a galaxy far far away...

So maybe Earth used to be part of the Republic!
