I think it would be difficult to have cameos of other heroes, mainly X-Men or Batman etc. (I know you didn't mention him but) because these characters are done by different studios.
Wasn't X-Men 20th Century Fox? And Batman is Warner Bros.
To be honest though the only super heroes I've been waiting to make it to the screen are The Fantastic Four. I've never been that fussed about Spiderman, Batman, Superman. I thought X-Men was well done, but bring on

I want to see either Venom or The Lizard in the sequel but the ending of Spider-Man strongly suggests that the Hobgoblin will be the next villain.

Interviews with the people involved with the movie out right state that Doc Oc and The Lizard (aka the scientist that fired Spider-man on account of tardiness) will be in the next movie. And I expect, true to his form, The Lizard won't actually be a villain per se.

Good point.. we should cite a rip-off only when it's genuine.. like the way AOTC's opening car chase ripped off Blade Runner.
