In thinking about the whole clone wars, and also having read much of the EU, I think it highly likely that a key player in all of this has to be a clone. Obviously, many speculate that it is Palpatine/Sidious. But at minimum, I think in Episide Three that we will discover that a major character is a clone. With a jedi having ordered a clone army, with Jango being the template, with the Emperor having access to all those cloning facilities...

I think it's Obi Wan. Or should I say, O.B. #1? See, a former Padawan of Yoda named Sifo Dyas is currently retired on Tatooine under the nome de plume Ben Kenobi, but Qui Gonn sensed the need for Anakin to have the venerable master's training. Of course, he didn't know all the details like Anakin's name or his prophetic connection, but the force led him in this direction. The council was more than a little leery of Qui Gonn's idea and forbade disturbing the well deserved retirement of Sifo Dyas/Ben Kenobi.

Being somewhat of a smart ass, Qui Gonn did the next best thing. Stealing into the Jedi museum, Qui Gonn *liberated* Kenobi's old Padawan braid on display as a Jedi Relic. Posing as Sifo Dyas, Qui Gonn made his way to Kamino and ordered up a quick clone of Ben to train as his Padawan (hence this clone wasn't trained by Yoda) and gave him the designation 'Old Ben: model One.' Or 'O.B. 1' for short, which quickly slurred into 'Obi Wan' for convenience's sake (e.g. C3PO = Threepio). This blatant violation of Council directive cost Qui Gonn his seat on the council, but was allowed to continue training O.B. 1 since he sings well and gets to kiss Nichole Kidman. Qui Gonn further foresaw the needs of the Republic and at the urging of his old master, Dooku, again posed as Sifo Dyas and ordered up the clone army.

Cheers,

Every other SW movie title has multiple meanings, so it should be a given that _Attack of the Clones_ refers to more than just the Clone Army. <Insert your favorite clone speculation here - Palpatine, Anakin, whatever>
