Sifo-Dyas or Sido Dyas

I must admit I only saw the movie once (plan to see it again of course) and I am not a expert. But I have been reading the ng's and other articles. When I saw the movie it sounded to me like the name was Sifo-Dyas, with a F, but on : theforce.com. they list the cast of characters and they have him listed as Sido-Dyas, which makes perfect sense. Sidodyas - Sidious - Palpatine.

Why couldn't the Evil Emperor once be a Jedi ?. Vader was once one. We only know that Mr. Dyas died 10 years ago, but there seemed to be some question about that. That's what Obi-Wan says, however Mace-Windu and Yoda seem to know something else.

but on a proper not. It still comes down to Yoda, ObiWan, & Mace Windu seemed to know about this Sido-dias from 10 yeara ago. Which makes you wonder :

A) Is the Jedi Council THAT Blind that a false person has been made to appear as if they they where there all along? Sido_Dias was a previous apprentice of Darth maul (Not likely) or Darth Sideous ( Even less likely due to the 2 Sith rule)

But, What about if Sideous played both sides of them (Maul & Sido-Dias)? Without the other the other existed? Maul could have been a front, where as Sido worked in the background?

Personally, & I have no proof for this, This is just my thoughts) Darth Sidous placed the order for the clones (Using a semi false name) knowing that after the Trade Fed would / had gotten beaten, the something would be needed to make have these 'Emergency' powers; After all, Its pretty obvious oth Him & That Blue skinned guy with horns where playing Jar Jar int their hands.

In the novelization of AOTC, Taun We says that Syfo-Dias (sp) hand-picked Jango Fett to be the source material for the clone army. However, when Obi-Wan asks Jango about Syfo-Dias, Jango says 'Never heard of him.' He says he was recruited by Lord Tyrannus. Well we all know that Lord Tyrannus is non other than Count Dooku himself, therefore I conclude that Count Dooku impersonated Syfo-Dias when he ordered the clone army. I suspect that the real Syfo-Dias was dead by then (Obi-Wan said he was killed, i.e. murdered).

I Havent read the Novel yet, so I cant comment on that. But Jango Says to Obi Wan, he was hired by Darth Tyrannus, Now Count Dooku could have easily played thet role & got Jango to beleive that is his name. From memory, I dont rememeber once where Jango refers to Chris Less As Dooku. From the start he could have known him only as Darth Tyrannus. So what he was saying to ObiWan was true. (& AFAIR Jango didnt actually lie to ObiWan whlst at Kamino. Jango may not have known about this Sido-Dias.

Now, Palpatine (or if we are to beleive that Palpatine & Sidous are the same persons) being the mater of Dooku Would have know what he (Dooku) was doing & Created the opposite (Its been spectulated that Dooku played the Trade Fed & Co, Whilst also knowing that the Republic & Hence the Jedi, could get their hands on a big clone army.

By doing do (allowing the robots get beaten, & the clones to win) makes it appear that the clones are superiour to the robots, & so Now Palpatine has his own army of clones to command.

We already see that the Jedi cant see the dark side, so are oblibious to the plans that Palpatine has in store.

Maybe there was a Jedi called Sido-Dias Who forsaw all this & spoke to the Kaminos without the Coujcils Approval (see as a big war would take place) But personally, I doubt it, At best, There was a Jedi caled Sido Dias (Or at least a Sith made it appear there was) & palpatine used the name to keep his personal record clean.

It's Syfer Dias.

Makes sense because Yoda et al did know a Sifo-Dyas. He existed in one form or another. Someone used his name to those who wouldn't know any better. Whether it was Dooku or Sidious is probably irrelevant.

That may be how he says it but it's not how Lucas spells it. For example, you don't spell Jabba; J - A - R - B - A but plenty of people pronounce it that way.
