sidious, maul, tyranus.... vader? (possible spoilers)

it seems sith lord names have an evil/violent origin...

.. er i thought sidious was a word.. guess not.. INsidious is though..

insidious kinda explains his method.. starting out as a senator, then chancellor, 'developing so graduall as to be well established before becoming apparent'

... only definition for maul is the ancient weapon... which i guess could mean that maul was sidious' weapon.. and he wasn't much more than that in the movie..

... the definition for tyrannous (tyranus?) is ': marked by tyranny; especially : unjustly severe ... i've only seen aotc once, so i'm not sure if that has a meaning behind it..

i couldn't find any sort of evil/violent conenction with vader.. anyone?

I think it's a reflection of what sort of evil they *aspire* to. Sidious = Insidious...that's his style. Maul = To rip/shred/tear apart. Yep, he looked capable of doing so. Tyranus = Tyrant. Maybe he is a tyrant in the making. Vader = Invader. Lock your doors...here he comes.
