What's the big deal about this anyway?
Explain how Obi-Wan eavesdropped on Dooku's conference with the Separatists without being detected.
Explain how Maul was able to ride right up on Qui-Gon without being detected.
Explain how Mace was able to sneak right up to Dooku without being detected.
Explain how Anakin could detect Luke arriving on Endor but not Palpatine.
Then you'll have your answer.
