Question for Figure Fans

Hey All, has anyone else notice that the figures are getting smaller these days? It seems to have started with Hoth Leia and now I notice more. What is strange to me is that some figs are still the old standard size and the smaller ones don't really fit well side by side. Anyway, just wondered if this was bothering any other collectors and if anyone knew why this is happening?

I hadn't really noticed a difference, really. But then again I collect them; rather I buy them, take them home and then put then in a big carseat box for storage.

These days they can make them more detailed. In the early days it was very hard to make a good looking, detailed figure on scale. Nowadays they make them smaller because the machines are better outlined and it's cheaper.

Yes, it's been a problem for some time now that started with the POTF2 range. There are too many giant figures like the Emperor's Royal Guard, Snowtrooper, Rebel Fleet Trooper and then there are midgets like the POTJ Deluxe Princess Leia and the new Sneak Preview Jango Fett. The sizes of Darth Vader and Chewbacca figures all seem to vary from wildly inaccurate to slightly inaccurate. I wish they all had a consistent scale which is accurate to the movies.
