Question about prosthetics (spoiler).

I can understand why Luke's hand couldn't be reattached...it fell down the chute.

But Anakin's arm was a clean cut and in a confined space. Why didn't they gather up the limb and have it reattached? They can make flawless prosthetics but they can't reattached a severed limb?

Or did Dooku take it? Will that arm be used to clone Anakin? Will the cloned Anakin square off with the real Anakin...and kill him? Is that what the meaning was behind Luke seeing his own face in the Vader mask on Degobah?

Assuming they had retrieved his severed limb would they have been able to get the medical attention necessary to reattach it? I'll assume that, in the Star Wars Universe, reattaching a limb is major reconstructive surgery and is far beyond the capabilities of field medical service. Anyways, wouldn't the limb be just a few millimeters, if not more, shorter than his good arm if they did reattach it? Wouldn't it open a can of worms for the conspiracy theorists who would question why Darth Vader's hand was mechanical, when it should be real, in ROTJ had they reattached his arm?

No, the cloned Anakin will become one of Jabba the Hutt's dancers. Jabba will later use the cloned Anakin as practice to increase his resistance to the Jedi Mind trick which will later come in handy in ROTJ.

First you have Jango Fett getting his head cut off. Second you have Luke cutting off the head of Vader in ESB. I think it is just one of those recurring themes that GL thought might my mind candy for the conspiracy theorists.

Yes, Luke saw his own face after he decapitated 'Vader.' Which ties in with Luke being told that he should be careful or he would share in his father's fate. I think it was a warning that if he killed Vader in rage then he would become Palpatine's apprentice, like Vader; he would replace Vader.
