It would have been better if Padme and Ana didn't get married. But in Ep3 they have a fling of some sorts and Luke+Leia come out of that one night stand.
But then again SW is suppose to be PG13.
The romance between Padme and Anakin was really laughable. If there was chemistry between them or better scripts, it would be OK. But Lucas, as Harrison Ford said, couldn't write good script lines.
