Hello. My name is . You killed my father. Prepare to die.

I didn't. I sat and waited and got thrown out by the cleaning crew. Theaters do not want people sitting through the credits.

I prefer the Lucasfilms which have NO credits at the beginning, unlike others which seem to 'waste' the first five minutes... Superman, Star Trek and so on...

Just run the Fox and Lucasfilm logos, then begin, the way a film should be. Credits at the beginning and end is just overkill.

They could include footage of failed stunts, like Jackie Chan always does.

They could include a teaser for the next film, like LotR (eventually) did.

Or you could not follow the herd and stick around for the credits. There are usually a few people who do.

-g, always watches credits if a certain friend worked on the spfx

Too bad for them. I sit through the credits and make the cleaning crew wait around. If they start cleaning anyway and make noise, I'm going to complain. (Last time that happened I shot them some dirty looks but didn't really complain.) If I pay to see a movie you better believe I want to see the whole thing. If other people want to leave, that's up to them. I see no reason to literally go along with the crowd.

Monty Python & The Holy Grail was a classic title sequence, where the Swedish credits gave way to the llama credits... and the film ended when a policeman put his hand over the lens and the film ran out! Austin Powers films do well too.

A teaser was added to the end of 'Fellowship of the Ring' right around Oscars week, yes. There are bootlegs of it floating around the net.

Word is the trailer will be basically the same stuff, though, so you probably haven't missed anything.

In all my years of going to the movies and staying for the credits I've never had that happen.

Go ahead 'Steven E', make my day...

Same here.

I hate it when they turn the house lights right up and you feel really exposed after having sat in the dark for 2 or more hours.

What they mean by 'thrown out' is that, when the cleaning crew show up, they get nervous, and leave, because they think they are supposed to.

Hello. My name is Pal.O'.Chakotay. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

No. I meant that I was asked to leave because they had to clean up before the next showing.
