In ANH, Leia's hologram message says (of Kenobi): 'Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars.'

She is referring to Bail Organa of Alderaan, who appears in AOTC played by Jimmy Smits. In a scripting oversight, he is never called by name in the movie.

At the end of the film, Palpatine and his entourage are watching the clone army embarking on their out-of-scale CG ships and taking off. Organa is with them, but he has his head down and lightly thumps the parapet in a clear indication of his mixed feelings about this turn of events.

Conclusion: Jimmy Smits' role will be expanded in Episode III at least as much as Samuel L Jackson's role was expanded in Ep II. He will be the main political voice of opposition to Palpatine.

Go ahead 'John P Darcy', make my day...

I like the look on his face. Smits did well in a very small role.
