Assuming that Chancellor Palpatine is Darth Sidious as most people would believe including me, he sure must have a hectic social and work life.
In TPM, we see him as Palpatine in the flesh, but with a quick hooded robe he becomes Sidious and since he only makes appearences by holograms he doesn't have to move around much.
But in ATOC, we see that he as Palpatine has become an even more powerful Chancellor, which presumbly means more work yet he also has time to talk to Count Dooko/Darth T in person without anyone wondering where he us. And on top of that presumbly train Count/Darth T to keep the Sith order alive, even though I think Count Dooko was a Jedi anyway? Was he?
And as my own theory (Sorry if someone else already posted it) guess in the 3rd film Anakin will kill off Count Dooko/Darth T and become the Emperor's new apprenctice. Also it could also explain the molten lava pit fight, of how Anakin became half machine. You probably will find a flaw with that, though!

Somewhere in Episode 3 Anakin and Obi-Wan will have a major falling out that will lead them to a final fight to the death in ANH. At the beginning of that fight Vader says, 'We meet again at last.' I always felt that meant they battled at least once before. The novelization of ROTJ says Obi-Wan knocked Anakin into the lava pit during a lightsaber fight and left him for dead. If GL changes this, there needs to be a new conflict between Obi-Wan and Anakin. Even if Anakin fights Dooku, he still needs to confront Obi-Wan as an enemy in Episode 3.
