Hi all,
I saw AOTC last night in one of our better theatres.
I thought the action scenes were absolutely fantastic! There were too many romance scenes, and most very poorly acted. I wasn't too impressed with the acting of Yoda in some parts, although the highlight of the film for me would have to be when he KICKED BUTT! I thought the story was told well, and never slow. Unfortunately they couldn't resist putting kids in the film, and I think that part was a bit lame. It's a shame we didn't get to see ships going INTO hyperspace, only coming out of it. The computer graphics still aren't perfect, so it will be interesting to see if Episode 3 looks more realistic.
Unfortunately there are no digital projection theatres in Australia, unlike a lot of other countries where AOTC is being shown.
I wonder if the picture looks any better in a fully digital theatre.
Looking forward to when it comes out on TV, as we have a 37 inch plasma high definition TV and digital set top box, and it will be one of the few things broadcast in HD that was actually recorded in HD.

I believe that the cinema at Fox Studios in Sydney does have digitial projection, probably installed especially for this release ... but that doesn't help you in Melbourne. For that matter, doesn't help me in the northwestern outskirts of Sydney, I'm not travelling for over an hour and paying a premium for *any* movie.
