I'm thinking about buying 'Children of the Jedi', 'Darksaber', 'Planet of Twilight' and 'Crystal Star' (12-14 ABY) as well as the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy. (15 ABY), 'The New Rebellion' (17 ABY) and The Corellian Trilogy (18 ABY). Have any of you guys read any of these books, are they any good?

If you have read them, please tell me what you thought of them and if they're worth buying =)

These four are crap. Not COMPLETE crap, but crap.

These are OK, with some good stuff in them, but are not 'great'.

They're worth buying and reading if you want a 'complete' collection of the Star Wars books. Some of the events in these books are mentioned in subsequent stories, so if you don't want to be left in the dark, I suggest you pick these up.

My suggestion would be to see if your local public library has them. Read them there and, then if you like them, get them. That way it'll be your own opinion and no one else's and you won't have wasted any money if you don't like them.

Run far away from the Black Fleet Crisis. It's awful. Truly, horribly, awful.

I've heard different opinions about them. What are they about?

Some people seem to love them, while others seem to hate them. I suppose I should check with the local library =)

Yeah, I guess I should do that. In time, I'll read the New Jedi Order books as well. Right now I'm in the 2nd book of the Jedi Academy trilogy. Those books are great, IMO, they're not as thrilling as the Thrawn Trilogy, but they're certainly exciting

That would be the best thing I guess. But you DID ask for opinions on them.

When Yevethans Attack.

Oh, and there's also Luke's quest to find stuff out about his mother (I'm not telling you how *that* goes), which Leia doesn't approve of.

And, um, lots of bad writing. So bad I gave up half-way through the trilogy; I haven't tried to get through it again in years, so am incapable of telling you more.
