How would Episode 4 be today?

* the movies would be far more plot-heavy * they'd also be less character-intensive * I'm assuming episode 6 would have a more definitive ending * far more epic CGI landscape battle shots, less flash gordon style laserfights * Han and Leia would probably be a lot more serious * Han wouldn't shoot first (oh wait) * less space battles * he'd undoubtedly dilute the effect of the AT-ATs in ESB with tons of other walkers and tanks of all varieties * more alien characters (all 2 legs, 1 head, 2 eyes, nose, etc though) * more cute dialogue foreshadowing * maybe someone would actually mention qui-gonn

Interesting question...I mostly like TPM, and didn't hate AOTC, but I'm not sure I'd like New Style 4, 5, 6 very much. I'm not sure I can easily describe why though.

he is going to redo 4-6 after part3 not special ed he going to updated them with 1-3 and then maybe this is fr fetch but maybe he or his children may continue with 7 8 9 which would be han solo and his kids

Yeah, the main thing would be the script adjustments, ironing out some of the wrinkly bits, and tying the storyline together a bit better. ANH, after all, was originally meant to be a one-off (stand-alone) movie, however as it turned into a success, GL continued on with the storyline. The re-working of that script would be a priority.

I guess you're right. I don't subscribe to senseless rationalizations, and I don't hold an undying hope that Lucas can change the OT to match his new vision. So much for my Star Wars fandom.

That's fine. But its GL world and he has every right to do whatever he likes with it. If that means you won't like it that's too bad for you. I, on the other hand, love it.
