Considering Obi-Wan was supposed to be a hermit by 'A New Hope', how did he become involved with Leia? ie 'Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope'... She obviously knew that he was living on Tattooine - hell she even got his location pretty much spot on when she sent R2 to the escape pod with the message for him. How long has Obi-Wan been a hermit for? Can't have been too long. You get the impression that these 2 know each other fairly well.... how come he doesn't know Leia is Luke's sister? Who will actually hand Leia over to Bail Organa in Episode 3? It can't be Obi-Wan, because he'd know that she was related to Luke.
And another thing... Why the hell did Obi-Wan 'hide' Luke from Anakin on Tatooine, in the same house that Anakin's mother lived in for a period of time, with Anakin's step-brother? Did he think he'd never check there because its too obvious? No wonder why Owen called him a 'crazy old hermit'. I agree.

I was under the impression that Bail Organa sent Leia to get Obi Wan, She mentions something like 'General Kenobi, you fought along side my father during the Clone Wars' I can't remember the quote in full but it was something along those lines. Obviously Bail knew where Obi Wan was headed and when he need his help he sent Leia to get him.

I think Anakin KNEW perfectly where they was... It seems some kind of 'pact' (Anakin never wanted to kill his son but it was interested on having him controlled). And possibly Anakin forced Obi to stay on Tatooine and becoming 'protector' of Luke (instead of killing him), being forbiden to him to get out the planet.

Hey people! Anakin didn't know he had children! That's why he wouldn't look for them! Duh...

That's simple. Chances are *very* good that Anakin would avoid the place. He hated his pre-Jedi life and it's also where his mother died. Why would he want to go back to Tatooine (which is along the rim of the galaxy and controlled by the Hutts, which also helps)?

True. But he would still feel the presence of the Force, wouldn't he?
Hopefully, GL will answer the question in Ep III (but I don't know how likely that is...).

: hand Leia over to Bail Organa in Episode 3? It can't be Obi-Wan, because : he'd know that she was related to Luke.
Then it must have been Yoda.
I don't think it will be possible to have Obi-Wan's acquaintance with Bail Organa continue after his family secretly adopts Leia with Yoda's help, and so I think we will have to assume that she only knows him well from what her adoptive father had told her about him.
Obviously, Episode 3 will have to include the span of time when Luke and Leia are hidden, and like the other episodes, it isn't going to include flashbacks or a decade-long break in the action. So we won't see a 12-year-old Leia escape from Darth Vader's clutches with help from the last of the Jedi, the 'last time' so temptingly spoken of in Episode 4.

I certainly don't get the impression they knew each other well. The full message is as follows:
'General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack and I'm afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.'
First she calls him General Kenobi, so they're not exactly on a first name basis. She identifies herself through her father, reminding Obi-Wan of the connection and making the request in her (supposed) father's name. Finally, she pleads with him as 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'. That's a name he hasn't used in a long time. A long time.
Obviously, Ben knew quite a bit more about Leia than she realized.

In the ROTJ novelization Obi-Wan says that Bail Organa told Leia that if she was ever in trouble that she should look for Obi-Wan on Tatooine.

Go ahead 'David B.', make my day...
That's right. In the Star Wars Radio Drama Bail Organa tells his daughter about Obi-Wan and how he's a great Jedi and instructs her to go to Tatooine and recruit him.
