Clearly he's gonna be a bad lad in ep II but will he cross the line in this film? I wonder if James Earl Jones was right when he said that Anakin will fall into a volcano prior to becoming Vader?

A molten pit. This comes from the ROTJ novelization and is therefore canon. Although what is molten is not specified it's generally believed to be lava because the Imperial homeworld was originally a volcanic planet called Had Abbadon. This could all change but some people believe they can see lava on the lower levels of Coruscant in the latest trailer when Anakin leaps from his speeder.
