From ESB: Obi-Wan: That boy is our last hope. Yoda: No. There is another.
It seems that Obi-Wan did not know of Leia.
How did Obi-Wan know about Luke but not Leia? Aren't they supposed to be twins. What happens to Obi-Wan near the time of the birth?

Yes but there is a whole conversation between the spirit Obi-wan and Luke discussing this (I believe in ROTJ). I'm not sure why Obi-wan discounts Leia so quickly, but my first guess would have to be that there wouldn't be anyone left to train her and Obi-wan knew that Yoda was dying.

Of course he knows. He's supposed to be the one that puts her into hiding when she's a baby.
But Leia doesn't become a Jedi.

Maybe Yoda is aware of another master in hiding. Heck, in the EU there are Jedi old Jedi hiding every wating to be found.
Or more likely, Liea could surve long enought to have forcer senitive childern, and grandchildern, after many generation they would start to re-invent the Jedi way, maybe with the help of a few artifacts hidden away somewhere. And sooner or latter Palpitin and Vader are going to die. It is unlikely the next Sith Lords would be as powerful.
