They were *never* going to be in it, they just said to someone at Skywalker Ranch it'd be cool if they could be.

They were the ones in the white armor.

Hardly. Nevertheless, since N'Sync is one of the premier show biz/music groups around, the question of where, when or if they appeared in the movie [even if only as extras, instead of more focused cameos] is a reasonable one. I'll ask my daughter.

And she'll tell you about the fan-news posts from three months ago, where George *announced* that he was dropping their don't-blink backgound-extra cameo on the cutting-room floor because the fans and the media were making such a big darn fuss about it.

What fan-news posts are you talking about? The official line from Lucasfilm was that they were filmed as extras, and the decision to leave them in, or cut them, was to be an artistic decision to be made during the editing process, when George Lucas got around to the editing process. Basically, they were saying 'Lucas doesn't cut or keep based on fan demand.'

says...

1,000 messages? You mean one day?

Which reminds me: Does anyone read *all* the messages on this group?

I don't think that would be posiable. Sunday I re-subscribed to the this group, marked all messages prior to midnight thursday are read, and I still have not caught up.
