First, I watched it on film. The picture quality was quite good so I don't understand what Ebert was complaining about in his review. There wasn't any fuzzy images.... However, in scenes where the lighting (night time, dark room) was low there were some very noticeable grainy spots. Most of the film took place in the light so those grainy things weren't there very often.
Second, in the OT trilogy Yoda doesn't speed backwards all the time. Some times he'd say say things normally like in ESB: 'I was wondering, why are you here?' , 'how do you get so big eating food of this kind?' and 'I mean you no harm' etc... So why does he speak in backwards order ALL THE TIME in AOTC??
I found that to be quite annoying and irritating. In the OT he didn't always talk that way. Some of the sentences were said backwards, and others not. However, in AOTC, it's all the time and sometimes the sentences just don't sound right spoken that way. I felt it would have been more appropriate for some of those sentences to be said in normal order.

[ROBOT interjects] Right. In the arena, Yoda's first command to the clones was: 'Around the survivors, a perimiter create.'. Then later he says: 'Concentrate your fire on the federation starship.' instead of: 'On the federation starship, your fire concentrate.'. Rather inconsistent, I must say. But, damn, he sure can
That was funny!
Yeah, I noticed that, too. I just saw the movie today. I'll have to go see it again to pay attention to dialogue and FX details, etc. There's so many CGI objects and action on the screen all at the same time, it's kind of hard to absorb it all in one sitting.
Atleast Jar-Jar Binks wasn't a total dufus in this episode. [Am I to understand that he has been in Queen/Senator Padme Amidala's service for the past 10 years?] He's definitely 'matured'.

Go ahead 'ROBOT', make my day...
That's right. He's been working with her and the one time she's not around he goes and does the very thing she never wanted to happen. Classic Jar Jar.
