I read a question on the OS. It was about the colors of the Clones' armor: Yellow for commander, red for captain, blue for lieutenant and green for sergeant. How do the clones achieve those ranks? They're all as smart as the next clone, think the same way and learn to fight the same way. So eventually they all could be a commander. Or are they just picked by chance and they all have to listen to their superior? That would be weird: Comm.:'Move up the field!' Capt.:'My point exactly!' Lt.:'That's what I was thinking!' Sarge:'Couldn't agree more! Move up the field!'

Even identical twins turn out differently.

I was thinking the same thing. I suppose a special commander breed could be cloned and trained from birth to be a ranking officer. They would be more intelligent and independant than a normal clone trooper.

But they are not identical twins. They are clones.

I suspect though that some of the clones received more 'tweaking' by the cloners. Most where no doubt stock no frills clones (fodder), but I think that others received 'special' modifications (genetic engineering) for specific desirable traits

Maybe the officers are from the very first match out of the test tubes, and they just just alittle more training.

Genetically speaking, they're pretty much the same thing.

That seems plausible. It's also possible that there's a degree of variability to the genetic results. After all, for some reason their template wears out in time and they have to get fresh materials from
