Hi There

Don't know if anyone else seemed to get this but Count Dooku didn't seem to know about the clone army when obi-wan was spying on his conversation with nute gunray on Geonosis, but this kind of throws a spanner in the theory of Sideous ordering the army as you would have thought that Tyranus would have known about it.

Thoughts please

My thought is that you just don't get it.

Ever stop to think that maybe it was *supposed* to look that way, when in reality something else was going on? It's called deception...

Thats the thing with those Sith, they are so devious that they only allow two of them ,and even then the two are always trying to out-do each other. Remember how Vader always wanted Luke to join him so they could conquer the Emperor and rule as father and son?

Perhaps, as Palpy/Sid is playing both sides, Dooku didn't know of the clone army. Perhaps Dooku WAS looking for a partner to kick Palpy/Sid's ass when he told Obi-Wan all that stuff about a Sith being in control of the senate. I mean, its obvious that this was planned long ago by Sifo-Dyas, whoever that may be, and the Jedi just dumb-assed their way into discovering their existence. How convenient it is, that at that exact same time, Palpy/Sid is granted emergency powers (which would make him an Emperor, no?) so he can build an Army of the Republic? Of course the plan is, of course, two fold. Get everyone fighting each other so that all of the Sith's enemies are weakened by war and become easier to take over; and get the Jedi to help destroy the only ones who were capable of putting up any kind of fight (with their droid army): the Trade Federation (hence why they were put into play in the first movie, to give them a bad rap so the Jedi would side against them). It is possible that Dooku / Tyranus knew there was a plan but didn't know it involved the clone army, and certainly didn't expect the army to be led into war by the Jedi; but it is also possible that the plan was to defeat the Trade Federation, thereby eliminating the opposition, by playing them too and acting like he had no idea what was going on.

So he probably did know, but didn't tell.

My thought is that no one will 'get it' until Ep. 3 comes out.

Maybe AOTC should have an IQ requirement. It seems to me a lot of people just don't have the capacity to understand.

Which I never believed even when it first came out ... I always figured it as a ploy and that Darth would destroy Luke at the nearest opportunity. Father/Son dual dictatorships don't seem to work very well

Well, Darth Tyrannus was the guy who hired Jango Fett, so I'm almost sure that Dooku did know about the clones ...
