from all of the other star wars movies i never remember seeing anyone burried in the ground after dying. it's always burn them on the pyre... even the jawas in anh that were slaughtered by the stormtroopers. we really don't know what happened to owen and beru... but they were burned already... rest their souls.

it seemed strange seeing an actual burial scene in a star wars movie, when they bury anakin's mother. is there any signifigance as to who is burried and who is cremated? and can anyone confirm whether all of those headstones were still there in anh? i don't remember seeing them, but i haven't had time to go back and watch.

also, unrelated, but did craig lars remind anyone else of a pirate the way he spoke? i was just waiting for him to bust out with 'yo ho ho matie!' i thought he did okay, but i found his voice funny.

Well, Qui Gon and Anakin/Vader are cremated, they are Jedi and maybe that is the way of the Jedi

As to the Jawa's. Probably figured that was the best way to take care of them.

They weren't there in ANH up to this point, possible that they may be later.
