A very picky question:

Why would Kenobi 'kill' Anakin, who used the Force aimlessly to make Padme's fruit fly around (sounds erotic), when Kenobi himself used the Force to retrieve the map sphere from its stand when he was with Yoda and the younglings in Epi II?

Yoda used the Force to fetch his lightsabre from its sheath just before he did battle with Dooku (and his cane just after Dooku fled). Not sure if that is considered misusing the Force since he could be doing that to intimidate Dooku (could be considered a survival tactic). I'm sure there are other examples of the Froce being misused out of laziness or what have you.

Anyone know why Kenobi would say something like that and contradict himself? Is this the 'arrogance' that Yoda mentions of the Jedi?

I think its just one of those situations where the trainer (Jedi) is giving the trainee(Padawan), guidelines. ie. you can't 'play' with the force until you become sufficient. The old 'when a trainer you become, play you can' Like when a parent tells their kid 'you can't have any pudding..............' John 'Bigamy is having one wife too many. Marriage is the same.' Wilde

Obi-wan doesn't kill Anakin at all. Now I'm assuming that you are referring to their 'battle' that may or may not happen in Episode III. If the battle takes place, it won't be over fruit or being lazy and using the force for everyday tasks.

Go ahead 'ToolNila', make my day...

Anakin said 'if Master Obi-Wan caught me doing this he'd be very grumpy.' Later, when he lost his lightsabre again, he said 'Obi-Wan's gonna kill me.' I think that Obi-Wan would have been grumpy because it's very bad table manners to play with your food. Using the Force to pick stuff up is fine, it's the ultimate remote control.

No he's referring to the part in AOTC when Anakin says to Padme 'Obe wan would kill me if he saw me doing this...'

Yoda used the Force to fetch his lightsaber because his arms are too short to reach it. Watch the scene again. Of course, I didn't watch to see how he put it back.

I'm pretty sure Anakin was just using a figure of speech. I don't think he believed that Obi-Wan would literally kill me. Haven't you ever heard a child say, 'My mom is going to kill me!'
