What does it mean to bring balance to the force ?
how did darth vader bring balance to the force ?
I've noticed that Obi wan causes a lot of problems. He seems to act as a catalyst for a lot of things that happen.

Master and apprentice are dead, the Sith extinct. But, thinking of it, what kind of balance is that with one side completely wiped out?
On the other hand there aren't many Jedi left either.

I've mentioned this before and lost sight of this thread. I think balance not only refers to balance between sith and jedi but to all living beings. Good people belong to the light side where bad people belong to the dark side. Until TPM all the jedi were strong enough to maintain balance, but with the appearance of the sith, the dark side grew stronger. With the sith extinced, the balance is restored.

I think the meaning of balance in this context is stability as opposed to equality. 2 Siths and 2 Jedis would achieve a balance in the sense of equal numbers but the Sith would go round kicking ass whereas just having Jedis would achieve peace and stability = balance, a state of

That would mean 2 sith are equal to 10000 jedi in terms of power. And what about no jedi and no sith? would there be balance?

No, you've completely missed the point i was trying to make. My whole point was that i believe the balance referred to was a state of peace and stability rather than a mathematical equality. No jedi and no sith would be a balance of course. Any situation without sith would be a balance.

Ok..i was wrong. You think balance is equal to stability. Then there is no need for the jedi, but it's nice to have them? To that i would agree, as it's basically the same i wrote in my post before (not the answers to your posts). The only difference is that the jedi are needed to secure that stability.
