ATTACK OF THE WEB: BOOTLEGGED STAR WARS DEBUTS ON INTERNET Fri May 2002 10 05:22:27 ET
More than a week before the movie's release, unauthorized copies of the next STAR WARS episode have hit the Internet!
'One bootleg version of ATTACK OF THE CLONES appears to have been made at a private showing of the film, using a tripod-mounted digital camcorder pointed at the screen,' the LOS ANGELES TIMES reports in fresh editions. 'Another evidently employed a more sophisticated version of the same technique.'
The early release of CLONES is just the latest example of how bootlegs of blockbuster movies appear online long before they are available in video

I don't doubt that the movie is on the web, but I don't find it (yet). And what's on the file-sharing services are 1) an endless repeat of a trailer for 'The Scorpion King' (file says it is AOTC) and 2) some sort of weird audio AVI file that is highly broken up and it is hard to tell what is being said.
Don't get me wrong...I play to give George plenty of $$$ for his efforts. I was just curious to see how easy it would be to find those pirate copies of the movie on the web.
