What you're getting is a rough cut. It's going to be just like Episode I. A bunch of disjointed action scenes looking for a story. Lucas is the most undeserving filmaker in American history.

Ummm...it's a trend for Star Wars movies to be released in May.

We'll all have to remember these numbers. I'll be disappointed if it's less than a 200 Million Weekend box office.

I hope it is as good as Episode One. I adored that movie, nearly as much as the original trilogy. I've seen it over fifty times.

Hell no... that guy's a newbie. He had no idea what he was talking about. He couldn't get a stimulating response out of us if he tried with ignorant jibe like that...
Not to mention the fact that he's wrong... the May 16 date had been set in stone for how many years now?

Why not, that's basically what they did with Spider-Man, and look it how incredible it turned out to be!

HAH!
Sorry, I would love to see that, but it isn't going to happen! I expect Star Wars to have made over $120 million by Sunday night, and even as much as $150 million, but not $200 million. It's being shown in over 300 fewer theatres and, even if they all sell out, it won't allow for the kind of money it would take to reach $200 million over one weekend.
However, where Spider-Man is truly disadvantaged... it's brand new. Star Wars is long-established and has great staying power. Spider-Man will gross around $350 million. Star Wars will gross closer to $450 million, and could even break $500 million. (I would love to see either make much more than that and remove Titanic from the top of the list, but I'm not greedy...)
