AOTC and 9/11parallels

I may be a little off-the-mark, or still a bit affected by living in NYC through 9/11 and its aftermath, but does anyone else see somewhat of a parallel between the recent revelations that the clues to the September 11th attacks were there and not put together or paid adequate attention and the Jedi Council's revelations that an entire army was created with their supposed consent behind their backs? Sort of the bitter sting of realizing your complacency only when the evil has exploded around you.

Thoughts?

The Jedi themselves have been duped by the double dealing Palpatine/Sideous character, who is the grandmaster of deceit playing two ends against the middle.

Well, sure. Especially since here in New York we get the chilling effect of having cops all over the place, patrolling near the bridges and threatening to give you a summons if your seatbelt isn't on, just because George Bush got threatened by the 'Did Bush know about the warnings' stories, and got his buddies in the CIA and FBI to issue another 'terror alert' to shut everybody up, and give him more opportunities to make speeches on TV about how he's working to protect us all from these 'threats.' I'm watching stories on TV about how they are taking security pictures of every visitor to the Statue of Liberty, and I moan at the stupidity of it all...

That's the only point being made by this bad movie that has any value....we in the U.S. ARE slowly having our democracy stolen... by the people purporting to defend us from the miniscule and long gone 'terrorist threat'.
