Anakins lightsaber AOTC vs. ANH?

The lightsaber Anakin uses in AOTC is almost identical (chrome instead of black at the top of the hilt) to the one Darth Vader uses in ANH, and very different from the saber Obi-Wan gives to Luke at the beginning of ANH. Should we expect Anakin to use a different lightsaber in Ep III? Obviously, characters can change lightsabers, as Obi-Wan did from Ep I/II to ANH.

I can't say I picked up on that, so now I have to go see the movie again...

Well the saber he was using early on was destroyed in the droid factory and I believe the second one (or it could have been Obi-Wan's) was destroyed in the battle with Dooku. So he managed to lose two in a film so it is very possible that eventually he will make one that matches the one that will be given to Luke - of course the one that is given to Luke might not have actually been Anakin's at all as I doubt he would have actual told Obi-Wan to give his light-saber to Luke - would be a funny scene though

I'd always assumed, based on the RotJ novelization, that after Anakin and Obi-Wan fought, Obi-Wan picked up Anakin's fallen lightsaber. That would explain how he came to be in possession of it when he meets Luke in ANH.

Maybe Anakin did tell Obi-Wan to give Anakin’s lightsabre to Luke, but not by name and long before he mate with someone, on the off chance of his death. Sort of like making a Will.

Something like: “Master. If someday I should ever have a child or any children and if anything happens to me, please give my lightsabre to the oldest son.” As opposite to asking Obi-Wan something like: “If I die. Please give my lightsabre Luke.”?

Considering Jedi are suppose to get married or have childern that would be very strange.

What was Obi-Wan exact quote was it 'Your father told me to give this to you'...'Or your father would have wanted you to have this'?

Obi Wan just lied to Luke, I dont think Anakin would say that. Obi just want Luke feel good about his father.

This bothers me. My take on things ... Anakin mentions this intention to Padme (They are secretly married so Obi Wan need not know). After the supposed ObiWAn-Anakin duel , Ben recovers Anakin's Sabre and gives it to a pregnant Padme who mentions Anakins intention and asks Ben to keep it. Plausible?
