I can't see how Anakin (as played by Hayden Christiansen) will morph into bloated cue-ball head that is Darth Vader in 20 years. The due would only be in his 40's.

Han Solo and Lando were in their 40's in return of the Jedi, just a little younger than Darth. The Dark Side must really age you.

Also, desert living must really age Obi-Wan to go from Ewan Mcgregor to Alec Guiness in 20 years.

The Emperor actually doesn't seem to age too much, except maybe for the huge bags under his eyes.

While we can only theorize on Episode III, I'm betting that, whatever happened to him to require the massive life support system, also caused some of the aging process to happen. But I also agree that it's possible that the Dark Side does age you quickly. Take a look at the Emperor. He looked worse than Vadar.

It's a hard life out there. Add to that the pressure that Ben would be under for all those years, trying hard to keep Anakin from finding Luke, wondering if he would be able to protect him. Also, maybe Ben came across something during the Clone Wars that had an effect on his physical being.

His skin is the pallor and texture of extreme old age. But I'd also saw on the Star Wars website that he had clones made of himself so he could transfer into a new body when the old one gave out.

Novel version of ROFJ. Locas has already contradicted the novels, so this does notmean anything.

Go ahead 'Chris Olin', make my day...

It's true that he has contradicted certain things form the novels and may well do so again but neverthless until that time should come they are still canon. Out of 5 movies so far 3 have featured lightsabre duels atop a chasm or pit. I have no doubt that the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan will occur as described by Ben in the ROTJ novelization.
