I tell you with what we know now the opening of Episode IV - A New Hope sure looks different.

Dad is chasing his little girl around the planet of his childhood, The kid secrets the stolen plans in her mom's old R2 unit and sends it off along with the protocol droid Dad originally built for his mom, the kids grandmother. The droids then end up at the home of dad's other kid, a son. The son is living in Grandmothers old house, but apparently never gets the chance to visit her even though she is buried in what would be his front lawn if desert planets had lawns. So the boy now takes Dad's old droid out looking for mom's old droid and finds Dad's old teacher. Teach gives the kid dad's old light saber and says 'He wanted you to have this when you were old enough' . Say what???

So now that's dad is back home again, does he take the time to visit Mom's grave? Perhaps drop off a few flowers? Naw he sends a bunch of storm troopers to the house and they burn up all of dad's in-laws. Dad then heads back home (the death star) where he proceeds to lock up and torture his daughter. Turns out she has a rather strong will. Ahh like father like daughter, strong will just runs in the family I guess...

The Dark Side cave that Luke goes into in Empire has a powerful Dark Side prescence. Between that and the over abundance of non-sentient life, Yoda's presence on Dagobah was suffiently invisible.

That and Vader doesn't want to step to Yoda if he can help it...
