Contrived? Jango couldn't just kill the wench with his blaster, because how could Obi-wan trace that back to.... Jango Fett!

By the way, why does the galaxy's greatest bounty hunter use a bounty hunter to do his job for him? Does Jango not subscribe to the notion that if you want the job done right, do it yourself?

And notice how Obi-Wan, who lectures Anakin about NOT trying to find Amidala's assassins, jumps right out the window to hang onto an assassin droid, and then asks Anakin, who has also left the Amidala unguarded to come rescue him 'What took you so long'.

And despite that fact that the two idiots have left Amidala unguarded, and a deadly assassin has just killed someone right in front of them, which they were unable to prevent, they somehow don't seem to be too concerned when he takes off, despite risking their lives in an aerial chase to catch the person that he just killed. For all they know, he's heading back to finish off the (now) unguarded Amidala.

But Lucas got to show off all this silly CGI stuff, so that's all that matters, right?

Why didn't Jango just shoot Anakin or ObiWan with it, or Padme for that matter, saving us from the wretched hive of scum and bad acting known as AOTC?

That line in the movie came out of nowhere. It's was like,

Obi: Hey how ya doing? Fett: I'm just a simple man, trying to find his place in the universe. Obi: What? What the hell are you talking about?

WOW A plot devise??? You fail to note how hard it really was to trace where the dart came from didn't you??

You have no idea about assassanation do you..

Not to mention the fact that, since Obi-wan was able to punch a hole through the window in Amidala's sleeping quarters, just by jumping through it, all Jango had to do was pop a seismic charge into the window. What a dope.

Which reminds me....why didn't Jango drop a seismic charge when Obi Wan was following him through the tunnel in the asteroid? He was trapped in there...nowhere to go.

Perhaps he'd run out of them?
